it's surreal seeing the internet that i basically grew up with starting to make a comeback. i remember the old days of geocities, how they were freaking everywhere. like i know all things are cyclical, and it would've happened eventually but to think that it would happen while so many people still even have vivid memories of it is crazy to me. like the internet still has a lot of these things still available if you know where to look for them is insane. it's great to see it, honestly. the internet has become such a cesspool of monitization that i think the "glory" days were almost forgotten. the internet used to be the wild-freaking-west baby, and though it was awful in a lot of ways, it was so freeing in many others.

and i think it's damn time we remember that.

i'm riot

i was born in 1992, i'm an old fart by internet standards today, apparently. but back then i didn't know a damn thing about html, i couldn't make a website, so i'm doing it now. will anyone see this crap? probably not.
but who cares, it's freeing to write into the void, if that's where this happens to go.
